According to report published by WOREC in the fiscal year 2078/79, 65% of women have experienced domestic violence, 29% have experienced physical violence, 16% have experienced sexual violence of which 90% were male perpetrators and 35% of rape cases perpetrators were neighbors. Madhesh Province recorded the most dowry related violence as 53%. 58% women experienced witchcraft allegation and the perpetrators were neighbors. 31% of girls of age 18 to 25 years old got married by age 18. 7% polygamy cases were recorded and 24% of human trafficking perpetrators were community members.
